Mimi is a self-taught artist who creates between Abidjan, in Ivory Coast, and Tunis, in Tunisia. Her world: graphic pop art, between Africa and the Mediterranean. She never begins a piece with an imposed theme: she lets colour guide her every gesture, in an instinctive, free and spontaneous process.
Each canvas, each piece of wood becomes a field of exploration where pigments converse, blend and transform until a unique composition emerges. What drives her above all is the magic of transformation: watching a raw, ordinary surface metamorphose, layer after layer, into an explosion of colour.
Her works do not seek to impose a reading. They invite everyone to feel, imagine and interpret according to their own sensibility — because colour speaks a universal language.
